  • The two carriages of the green parcels and newspapers set are seen at Carlisle on 30 September 1985. M55966 was branded for 'parcel' traffic and M55966 (coupled to the Class 08) was branded for 'newspapers'. The units have not yet been coupled to each other the right way round so I assume they were being delivered from their conversion
  • In 1985 several redundant Bed-Pan Class 127 units were rebuilt for parcels and newspaper traffic. The last conversion was finished in green livery and M55966 is seen at Carlisle on 30 September 1985
